Project-Based Learning (PBL): The staff at Hampstead Academy enjoyed a great training session with Mr. Robert Landau on Project-Based Learning (PBL). Mr. Landau led the team and explored the question of how we as teachers, can prepare students for their futures. While listening, HA art teacher, Mrs. Shaw took notes and drew a great picture of Mr. Landau.

Facilitated Maui’s first Global Issues Network Conference with a group of inspired and empowered high school students.

Enter a captionIroquois Point Elementary School: Spent the day on campus visiting all 34 classrooms. The goal was to look for positivity in every room. I made a four minute iMovie and spoke to the entire staff.
Kamehameha Schools Hawai`i Campus launch of innovation task force.
Hawaii Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist Schools – “What School Could Be” workshop.
Traveled to Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan to coach teachers, deliver two keynote speeches and teach a demonstration class at a girls high school.
Facilitated a Vision, Mission, and Strategic Planning day at Saint Francis School.
Two amazing days of professional development and collaboration with the Canoe Complex on Maui. Ted Dintersmith, author of “What School Could Be” and Executive Producer of the film, “Most Likely to Succeed” was there to offer his support, creativity, and inspiration. I presented on Shadowing Students.

I had the honor and privilege to lead a strategic planning session with board members, staff, teachers, and STUDENTS from Damien Memorial School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thank you, President Wes Porter, for your support. This new plan will have such a positive impact on student learning, growth, and preparation for the future.
What a great privilege to work with these folks at the Àha Kūkā: A Gathering Around Skills, Habits, and Dispositions at Ewa Makai Middle in Hawaii. Seven hours of hard work by 10 Department of Education, charter and independent school teams, facilitated by this gang. Inspiring, exhilarating, moving, and kids’ lives will be hugely impacted.
